About the book
The Gaza Kitchen is a wonderful book written by Gaza native Laila El-Haddad and co-author Maggie Schmitt. It is a overly illustrated cookbook that explores the cuisine and food heritage of the Gaza Strip. The place where many refugees from places in Palestine came to Gaza in 1948 and was forced to stay. I recommend this book to anyone who is intersted in learning more about the foods in Gaza and how to properly prepare those dishes. There are about 130 detailed recipes throughout the book. Laila and Maggie both traveled throughout the Gaza Strip to collect those recipes in the book.
If you are interested in purchasing "The Gaza Kitchen" it is available everywhere online and in most bookstores ranging at about $26.00 plus tax.
